This story is not by the dearly-departed Vaughn Bode, but his still-alive son Mark. Here we see yet another obligatory sexual assault trope that is broken up by some severe body horror as a head explodes from a gunshot. It’s difficult to argue that Bode is trying to punish the would-be assaulters, however, when they go on to call the captive women “sluts” in the last panel. Some seriously mixed messages in here.
