Throughout the story, there are digs at various comics properties. Unfortunately, they’re all Frano-Belgian, so they usually fly over the heads of Americans. This page has one of those. The bit where they talk about how Atlantic is just a name on a map is a direct reference to Fred’s Castaway on the Letter A, which is set on exactly that premise.
