The set up in the first few pages of the story are that a strange man sells brooms set up with small bombs to a series of apartments in this building. Here we see that set up pay off – the man at that top bangs on his ceiling with his broom, which goes off. That prompts the man below him to bang on his ceiling and so forth. It’s beautifully illustrated on this page with just a basic fixed camera image.
