The most interesting thing in the issue was in the back cover – an ad for Heavy Metal’s digital website. The previous page featured “uncensored content” and this has “You will get your own password.” I really enjoy seeing how features that modern audiences take for granted were rolled out for the first time. In my own lifetime, even!

The other visual note on this page is the little Mac boxes in the upper right hand corners of the images. Almost as distinctive as the red text over blue checkerboard in the order form.
