To this page, the story is about this woman who kills a dragon for its treasure. But then she discovers that the treasure is the dragon’s egg, which hatches. Spoiler for the end of the story: she doesn’t kill the baby dragon, and instead adopts it. Which is the fairest possible thing she could do for a creature she has made into an orphan, frankly.
