One of the most interesting aspects of Heavy Metal during the 90s was the rapid increase in the number of special editions that were published every year. If you look closely, though, you can see the 1941 special that was created in the early 80s as a tie-in to the Spielberg movie of the same name. This indicates that maybe they had a lot of unwanted extra copies sitting around in the Heavy Metal warehouses.
