The watercolor finishes in this story are fantastic and really make the story sing, visually. For the most part, the narrative itself is fairly elliptical and slight. However, there is a three page sexual fantasy sequence halfway through that is only sort of related to the rest of the story. But if I had to guess, it was exactly this sequence that got the story into the pages of Heavy Metal. Because otherwise, it contains no sex or violence whatsoever and really has nothing else that Heavy Metal seems to think that it’s readers want to see (during this period, anyway).
