This entirely wordless story is all about a man who keeps trying to open a freestanding door in a featureless landscape. However, the conflict comes from the variety of characters who keep trying to distract him from opening the door. For reasons. In general, the sequential storytelling is very well done (it really has to be if you’re going to make a silent story), as are the spotted blacks. On this page, the patterns on the clothes are really well done – I especially like the plaid on her clothes and the pin stripes on his pants.
