The Gallery section for this issue was supplemented by an essay in the Dossier section about Edgar Rice Burroughs. 2002 marked the 90th anniversary of the publication of his first work, Under the Moons of Mars.

The Gallery featured various images of characters from the works of Burroughs. I chose this page because of the Frank Cho pin up at the top. If you look closely, you can see that it was very pixelated when it was printed. That indicates that the source image was smaller and got blown up for print.
