The most obvious thing about this page is that the artist very clearly conveys a sense of where everyone is in relation to each other and the environment that they all share. It’s pretty subtle and heavily overshadowed by the very unsubtle last panel. The first panel on the next page holds the same visual beat and the story moves from there. It’s a very clever sequential storytelling trick. Unfortunately, it also gives a sense of what direction the story is headed.
