The bottom tier of this page is amazing. The sense of space is beautifully rendered. A room below the transparent floor of the pool seems like a bad idea, but it’s so well done that it’s easy to overlook the obvious safety issues involved with storing dangerous reptiles right next door. This panel is also Chekov’s Gun – of course this location (with alligators) comes into play at the end of the story.
