This feature harkens back to the days when BoingBoing was one of the first websites I looked at every morning. I’m fairly sure that was the source of both halves of this article.

Also note that the text on the far right of the page is disappearing into the crease. By this point, the Heavy Metal people must have been laying the magazine out digitally, but somehow they didn’t read the final product to see how they could make improvements. This is easily the most distracting aspect of the magazine during this period. That and the irregular approach to page numbers.
