In subsequent pages, we find out that the minor nobleman at the top of the page was actually swindled by these men over the loss of the woman. It’s a great little scam, really. The three panels at the top of the page, though, are pretty great. I especially like the second and third panels, which convey a lot of confusion in the character’s body language.
